Bonjour, in this video, I want to share a simple technique to quickly relax.

When I work with a team, we cover many areas to help them with their ways of working. One of the key areas is time management. But often people forget another very important topic in addition to managing their time. It is to manage their energy.

Many people are working hard all day from the minute they start in the morning to the minute they stop in the evening: trying to cope with their emails, go from one meeting to another one and to do all what they have to do. And at the end of the day they feel exhausted, like they have been on a treadmill all day.

It is absolutely key for your performance and your well-being to learn how to re-energise all through the day. How? One simple suggestion: every 45 minutes have a little break. Even if it is a four or five minutes break. Every 45 minutes, maximum every 1h30, have a break: go for a little walk, do a little stretch, slow down.

A very simple break to do is a simple exercise called 3 4 5. What does it means? Sit at your desk, close your eyes, take a deep breathe for 3 seconds, hold it in for 4 and exhale for 5. So simple, 3 4 5.

Do this for three to four minutes and it will really relax you.

My team and I are often training leaders and their teams. And some of our sessions are quite long. We always make sure every 45mn there is a little breather like the above 345 exercise or a few simple stretches. With most training done online and many sessions recorded, one day I should publish a video of all the funny breathers I did with clients J
